Council Activities

Charity is the first principle of the Knights of Columbus.  Our council strives to follow in it's founders footsteps, Father Michael J. McGivney, who set an example of true Christian charity by selflessly aiding those who were less fortunate.  In support of this initiative, our council has participated in the following charitable activities:

  • Tootsie Roll Drive: funds raised are donated to organizations assisting mentally challenged individuals.
  • Inkjet/Toner recycle program with proceeds going to our local Special Olympics programs.
  • Donations last fraternal year were over $6,000 and were given to: Special Olympics, Rocvale Childrens Home, ARC of Winnebago, Boone, and Olge counties.
  • Support our local parishes.
  • Religous Vocations support.

Unity is the second principle of the Knights of Columbus.  Activities which illustrate our unity include the following:
  • K of C Recruitment campaigns
  • Memorial Mass for deceased brothers
  • Various functions to explore and expand our faith through talks, activities and days of recollection
